According to the regulations of the Somali Ministry of Ports and Maritime Transport, all goods shipped to Somalia must be accompanied by an ECTN certificate. If the consignee at the destination port does not provide a valid ECTN certificate, the goods cannot be cleared. If the goods with the ECTN certificate show false information, they will be charged twice the certificate fee plus the regulatory fee determined by the Somali government.

(II) Application process
1. The applicant provides the application materials and sends them to our email support@globalferi.com;
2. After receiving the above materials, our company will guide the modification of the application documents that do not meet the requirements. After the documents are correct, the certificate number and draft will be issued for the applicant to confirm;
3. After the applicant confirms, our company will issue a bill; the applicant arranges the remittance and provides the water bill for our financial staff to check;
4. After receiving the payment, our company will issue the original copy to the applicant.
Note:
**ECTN certificate must be valid at least five days before the vessel arrives.
**ECTN number is unique and each shipment must have a verified ECTN number.
