According to the latest regulations of the Burundian authorities, all goods exported to Burundi must apply for an ECTN certificate at the port of departure, and the consignee at the port of destination must provide a formally approved ECTN certificate when clearing customs, otherwise customs clearance will be impossible and a fine will be required.

(I) Application materials
1. ECTN application form
2. Ocean bill of lading
3. Commercial invoice
4. Packing list
5. Export declaration form

(II) Application process
1. The applicant provides application materials and sends them to our email support@globalferi.com;
2. After receiving the above materials, our company calculates the cost of the ticket and issues a formal payment slip;
3. The applicant arranges remittance and provides a water bill for our financial staff to check;
4. Our company reviews the information provided by the applicant and guides the modification of application documents that do not meet the requirements. After the documents are correct, our company issues a draft for the applicant to confirm;
5. After the applicant confirms the draft, our company issues the ECTN number. Once the number is allocated, it must be processed within 4 working days, otherwise the ECTN will be cancelled and the fee will not be refunded;
6. Our company will send the approved original ECTN certificate to the applicant by email and forward it to the consignee for customs clearance at the destination port.

Note:
** It is recommended to check the ECTN information first, and after all the information is confirmed to be correct, apply for the allocation of the ECTN number according to the time when the original bill of lading can be issued, so that the application and approval of the ECTN can be completed within 4 days.
** The certificate will be issued within 3-4 days after the information is complete.
