Introduction to ECTN/BESC for Benin

BESC:BORDEREAU ÉLECTRONIQUE DE SUIVI DE CARGAISON
According to the regulations in Benin, all goods shipped to Port of Cotonou or transported from this port to Niger, Burkina Faso, Nigeria or other places should apply for BESC/ECTN (electronic cargo tracking note), otherwise the shipping company in the port of departure can not issue the bill of lading, or the consignee at the destination port is unable to clear the customs. The following are the materials and procedures for ECTN/BESC, please read it carefully.

Application Procedure
① Please send the materials required for application to support@globalferi.com.
② After receiving the above materials and calculating the cost, a debit note will be issued.
③ Please arrange payment and send us the bank slip for inspection by our financial personnel.
④ We will review the materials provided and guide the modification of them. Draft will be issued first for confirmation.
⑤ After receiving the original bill of lading, materials will be uploaded to the system for confirmation of the approval authority at the destination port.
⑥ The effective original ECTN certificate(PDF format) will be sent to the applicant by email. The original certificate can be sent to the consignee at the destination port and shipping company.
Note
**ECTN for Bennie must be applied and issued before the cargo arrives at the destination port, otherwise delays and fines will occur.
