Introduction to ECTN/BESC in Cameroon
English Name:ELECTRONIC CARGO TRACKING NOTE (ECTN)
French Name: BORDEREAU ÉLECTRONIQUE DE SUIVI DE CARGAISON (BESC)
According to regulations in Cameroon, all goods shipped to Port of Douala in Cameroon, should apply for the ECTN/BESC(electronic cargo tracking note) at the port of delivery. Otherwise, it can result in failure of customs clearance and fines at the destination port. The following are the materials and procedures for ECTN/BESC in Cameroon, please read it carefully.
Materials for Applications:
① ECTN Application Form
② Bill of Lading(draft)
③ Commercial Invoice
④ Freight Invoice
⑤ Packing List
⑥ TRANSACTION ID NO. & TAX PAYER’S NO (if have)
Note: TRANSACTION ID NO. and TAX PAYER’S NO is import advance declaration and it is a document applied locally by the consignee.
Application Procedure
① Please send the materials required for application to support@globalferi.com.
② After receiving the above materials and calculating the cost, a debit note will be issued.
③ Please arrange payment and send us the bank slip for inspection by our financial personnel.
④ We will review the materials provided and guide the modification of them. Draft will be issued first for confirmation.
⑤ After receiving the original bill of lading, materials will be uploaded to the system for confirmation of the approval authority at the destination port.
⑥ The effective original ECTN certifictae(PDF format) will be sent to the applicant by email. Please send the original certificate to the consignee at the destination port and shipping company.
Note:The certificate will be verified and take effect 5 days before it arrives at the destination port.
